Vestibular rehabilitation is a type of physiotherapy specifically designed to manage patients who are suffering with vertigo (world moves), dizziness (you have an internal feeling of lightheaded/fuzzy), nausea and loss of balance.The treatment is exercise based, and these strategies have been proven to encourage central nervous system compensation/adaptation or habituation to the condition depending on the cause.
At your first assessment, several battery of physical tests will be carried out in order to establish the cause or combination of causes of your symptoms and then programs of exercises prescribed with regular follow ups, to progress and modify treatment and return you to full function as soon as possible.
